To strengthen parliamentary capacity to deal with small arms proliferation and prevent violence is a priority task for the Forum. The Forum can offer capacity-building seminars or workshops on sub-regional or national level related to the themes of priority identified by its members. During 2006 and 2007, specific focus will be given to issues concerning citizen security and regulations on international weapons transfers.
